There are a handful of Holiday Markets set up in the last week of October, running up until right after the New Year. Bryant Park is one of the more popular ones due to its proximity to some New York City [tourist] staples such as Port Authority, Times Square and Radio City. The street signs on the corner say it all. Avenue of the Americas X West 42nd St. This park is located in the center of the world.

I used to visit these outdoor holiday markets all the time when I needed to grab a quick gift for my family or my old lady. I remember finding this one brand of candles that produces a body lotion when it melts, which was the perfect stocking stuffer for my old lady. After such a positive experience I would pull up year after year in search of small mindful gifts. These markets are littered with gems. Especially the Bryant Park Winter Village.

Speaking of gems, you can find some at Bryant Park such as the Josephine Shaw Fountain, the Gertrude Stein Statue, the Public Library, and Le Carrousel. If you are visiting the city and want to cross a couple staples off your list in one shot, Bryant Park is a good way to start or end your day. Enjoy.
